......and tanks!!! LOL
That does remind me though. We have been to Astoria at least eight times over the years and lately when we venture out to the coast, we tell ZuHu to stay off freeways. This time she routed us through a small Washington town called Pe Ell. It actually has a M3 Stuart as part of a Veteran's memorial. Of course the wife stopped and I snapped a couple pictures. It was funny as there is a board there showing a picture of an M3 Stuart and a cutaway drawing showing an M3 Lee. Obviously, the maker of the board had no idea that these tanks were different.

Just be glad it wasn't an M3 Bradley
No bagpipes thanks to even more rain. Have a wet M4(105) instead:
It was driven away a short time later. I managed to film it, but I'm afraid my wifi connection here won't like a 1 Gb video upload

Really nice picture! Good assortment of roadwheels and it even has the brake comb on the tranny.

An absolute beauty! The only anachronism was the post-war gun clamp.

Not much choice. You gotta use what is available. Just like the roadwheels. Probably never used the dished wheels but far more available than the spokes.

Mark: If I remember correctly it had mostly spoked wheels. I'll need to check the photos later.
Adam: Thanks, I definitely have
So far I managed to take two proper sets of photos at the museum of an old Peugeot in Luftwaffe markings and a Bren Carrier Mk I. Hopefully more at the various events yet to come...

Been a little busy over the last few days...
Utah Beach Museum: Very nice collection, very nice presentation. Getting a little museum fatigue though, I don't think I need much more display cases with uniforms and small arms in the near future...
M4A1E8:
Main exhibition hall:
Yep, that's a genuine full-sized B-26:
Azeville gun battery: One of the most complete gun batteries in Normandy with four completed armoured casemates. The tour leads through endless subterranean corridors and almost all bunkers, guided by a handheld audio device.
We went back to Isigny-sur-Mer today. No cheese this time but some old acquaintances on parade:
Among them were dozens of softskins of various types:
The whole parade then left for Grandcamp-Maisy, where this little beauty was moored:
Big fireworks are scheduled for 11.30 PM tonight along the whole coast, we'll see if the weather cooperates.
