I just went and bought a similar punch with a "sun" pattern:

Much faster and easier :D

Fantastic ideas guys. :) I have a question though. Why are you using leaves? Won't they change colour over time? :?

Since they are already brown.....in theory they shouldn't. Not sure about green leaves, but dried flowers usually stay green too.

That's absolutely "sheet-hot"!!

I loved the idea with the special scissors. But you must admit that using a simple punch-stamp is much easier and produces greater numbers of leaves more quickly and more cleanly cut.

Three other good reasons to use real leaves instead of paper is that their color is exactly correct and don't require any additional treatment. They fracture and break just like the real thing. They're free!

Naturally this comes once I've just done a diorama with tons of leaves which I bought from the horribly expensive soul dealers   .

Seriously though - be prepared to be asked to bring a couple of punch stamps on occasion - I even managed to clean up the kitchen so it won't be like entering Jabba's palace or something like it (it never was the Sarlac pit! )!
(With Episode VII coming up it's time for Star Wars metaphors  )

YOu know, this thread would make me a lot happier if my yard wasn't currently covered in 1/1 scale leaves that need to be dealt with, thereby cutting into my modelling time. :x

Seriously though, brilliant stuff and I am going to have to find some of these myself.

Another advice....don't keep your 1/35 leaves in an airtight container unless they are bone dry. Don't ask me how I learned that... :?
