Oh! A Zippo lighter! ;)

That's very small. Soldering iron or gas torch?

I tried the torch but the flames kept pushing the clip out of the way , so ended up soldering . I used the solder paste in the little tub . It's certainly low temp solder .

Very nice work Edmund

I would never have thought of using a wooden forma to solder with, but what a great idea :D

I don't think I will use a microscope though

The ammo boxes do look good too, what are you attaching them too?

Have you a 4/6/or 8 wheeler or 1/2 track in your stash?

Opened ended finishing line and the warmer weather coming up, why not have a go ;)

I will be taking Shawn's sage advise and build and finish the vehicle, leave the figures and diorama to afterwards ;)

I'm off to the attic to see what I can find

Great soldering Edmund :D

You could paint individual eyelashes if you so prefer , or for the naked ladies pubic hairs .

I've considered a scope like that for figure sculpting. Right now a good pair of 3.5 diopter reading glasses meets my needs. But if I could justify the cost, I would love to have a go at working through a good quality binocular scope.

No microscope for me but a brand new pair of eyes if I ever want to try to play with such tiny PE parts :o

Congratulations ;)

The beauty with a butane gas torch is the radiant heat it produces. You often don't have to point the flame at the parts - just hold it close and the radiated heat does the rest.

My problem is my hand shakes and I've lost depth perception . The scope is 50 bucks 20X magnification , it might make those little clips easier to assemble or painting those eyeballs . I'm seriously arguing with me , myself and I about springing for the scope .
