Excel Sanding bands????

Post by Mark Aldrich »

I can't post pictures cause I am at work. However, these are the plastic holder that you wrap a 1/4 piece of sandpaper around. Have any of you used these and, if so, what were your thoughts???

Mine are actually X-acto and I believe are no longer made. The Maw-Crusher has too many rounded curve, nooks and crannies and I knew I would need some different types of sanding medium to get it finished. I should get to try them out today.

Thought this might be what you were talking about;

They come in a whole bunch of shapes and have replacement bands. Designed for getting to tricky places on plane models like the engine intake.

Those are kinda cool. I picked up some sharpened pencil looking ones as well and as long as you don't try to sand a perfect circle work pretty well also.
