Salt Technique

Post by Justin Wooding »

Hi chaps,

I know we are all familiar with the technique using salt for chipping.

Here is a good video of it being used for rusting a model. What i did find interesting, and was why i thought this should be shared, was the use of spraying through a sponge to get that patchy effect. Now that is a good idea 8-)

I subscribe to this guys channel, he has some great technical tips. Got to agree with the spraying through the sponge technique, I used it on the Hetzer build to defuse the rust tones. Works well.

Nice Woody

That could be Harry Dresden's beetle 8-)

A project I have for 2018 8-)

Looks like a great series of videos, the sponge/spray seems to be an alternative
to the stiff bristle brush flick..

Thanks Woody
