Certainly not Revell, regrettably it's the only one available here.... It used to dry horribly fast once the tube was first opened, now they changed the mixture and it's way too liquid, even dripping out if you're not careful.

Re: Filler/Putty - What's the best?
Hi Rob
I use a variety of fixes depending on the gap and what is needed after filling
I use a gel superglue and accelerator for lots of small to medium gaps as it sands, files and scribes really well. it is also useful to glue in and around plastic plugging in a bigger gap too.
I mix tube cement with, currently Humbrol model filler for smaller cracks and rougher texturing.
Finally different Mr surfacer 500, 1000 or 1200 for small cracks and texture.
The annoying cracks that I have had to deal with recently are the cooling cracks on the older dragon figures, predominantly the torso, but a combination of the above and some scraping do the job.

Re: Filler/Putty - What's the best?
I personally prefer to use plastic glue (probably any one will do) to get rid of small to medium corrections because it essentially melts the plastic and thus makes it malleable.
Helps especially with gaps that may result from one piece meeting another.
Then there is the already mentioned use of superglue.
For bigger problems there's always two component modelling compounds like the ever so useful miliput.
I suppose it's another case of individual solutions that you should try out and find your preferred means.
Best regards

Re: Filler/Putty - What's the best?
Hi Rob,
I use Tamiya Putty, Green Stuff and homemade liquid plastic. Unfortunately both of the putties tend to leave tiny imperfections where I haven't done the best application possible ( I'll take the blame ) . As a result I've mixed up some liquid plastic and sprue offcuts in some Tamiya Thin, which is far more effective. After all, when it dries it is plastic so sanding is simple.

I use various things for various jobs, but, one of my local club guys put me on to CA mixed with talcum powder. The talc gives the CA some body and it makes it easier to sand and carve and, it keeps it from being clear, so you can actually see what it looks like without having to put a primer coat on to see how your filling went.

Bondo Red Spot Putty.
This is far and away the best I've used. It was prevalent on my scratchbuilt Star Wars model. Find it in the automotive supplies section.

Re: Filler/Putty - What's the best?
Lets see here.
I have used Squadron Green and white putty. I like the green much better.
The Vallejo putty works great for me for small gaps. Just have to remove any excess immediately with a Q Tip.
I have tried superglue with Baking Soda sprinkled over top of it while still wet.
Just play old superglue with an accelerator.
Mr Surfacer of course
I have yet to try putting pieces of sprue on Tamiya extra thin. I will give this a go once my current bottle is about empty.
I bought the Bondo Red putty that John talked about but I have not used it yet.
Honestly I never am 100% satisfied with anything I have tried.
