I'm not much of a blogger Philipp, but I'll give it a go once it's underway. I will be doing it OOB. I'll be calling on the master Ruster to give me some pointers on the weathering of it. I am looking forward to painting this huge beast. I hope I can do it justice. It makes my 1/72 Type VII U-Boot look like a life raft.
Unlike other kits, I may have to order paint in commercial quantities. :lol:

Regards
Michael

Thanks for the link Ian, you’re not making it any easier for me to leave this one in the box for a while!

I hath returned! ;)

Anyway, before I went into forum hibernation because of interdependent and connected and unconnected examination of us both I bought some new items - I also very recently got some awesome souvenirs from our beloved admin's recent Normandy trip.

=>
StuGs ftw!
Image
This one will in all likelihood be built as a regular C/D,

Also: Great War crews - the German armour officer at least is already planned to be included in the Whippet dio.

And then there's=>
Parachute biscuits.
Image

And an awesome art deco/pin up design collection of Sainte-Mère-Église craft beers :shock: =>

That's it... I'm back...
I'll have a insanely late response for you this weekend Steve!

Of all Norman cookies these are the best :lol:

I didn't buy much hobby related stuff over there, but found this little thing at the military market I mentioned in my travel log (trog? :lol: )

(There's also something else which I can't mention yet because it's a birthday surprise for Raoul :? )

BW users patch in gold for driving 200km without ruining the drivetrain :lol: .

Seriously though - the craft beers look awesome, they will remain somewhere modelling related once we have emptied them. And that's a nice , achtung, German composite word incoming ( :lol: ), Panzernichtungsabzeichen repro!

And I suppose I may get the StuG done fairly quickly as an in-between for the StuG collection. ;)

Not sure if it's genuine or a repro to be honest..... :?

Anyhow....I forgot something. Despite it hanging in front of me for the last week.

Yep, another print from that wonderful little art gallery in Sainte Mere Eglise :D (click the link for a better view of the print).

Coincidentially we sat at this corner and drank some really good coffee while taking cover from the rain...

That's it, really now... :?
