Re: Latest additions
A few new things around here...
Bronco's new line of Stug kits include this slightly weird one:
The real one was an Ausf. C or D refitted with a new L/48 gun. However, there are also parts for two standard versions:
As usual, quite a lot of stuff. It even comes with two full sets of tracks, early and late 40cm.
I've made up my mind concerning the Great War Group Build (more on that soon), and these fellows will be part of it:
And, finally, I came across this new book on an obscure subject:
It comes with the individual history of almost every single T-35...
...describes the battles these took part in...
....and even has some colour plates.
Looks really nice on first glance. Once I've had a good look at it I might write a full review.

Nice Philipp. From the look of some of those pictures, I now know what to do with my T35!

Re: Latest additions
Time to share my shame
Though I have vehemently avoided the big cats, and indulged my love of the little panzers, I have laid down some stock for the future, hopefully not just yet, but with my eyes still not working well with an optivisor, it might be sooner than I would prefer
I shall continue to tinker with the Pz IA Breda
So, my share dividend, well spent on the following, some SERIOUS retail therapy.
As with all new subjects you need references, and I am a sucker for having to buy the set
got to do the Tiger II too!
And this will be a specific single project, to build the Bovington tiger, so this is just the ticket
And now the plastic, I'll start with the RyeField, though it has already appeared here, and will no doubt be purchased again, as it is an excellent base for the initial tiger variants
Just threw these in too
Some of the Tiger trial reference photos show lots of men milling around, and riding in the Porsche Tiger, so a change of heads and a little scraping and they will fit nicely, for Turkish military too
Always find somewhere for the ladies, perhaps on the T34/85 Thoma shield build, one day!
I shall hand in my life membership to the pre '42 Panzer club, and leave the club house in shame
Steve H.

It seems someone has been ensnared by the big kittens' siren call
Most excellent haul! As for this set, I don't know who the fellow in the middle is supposed to be, but he looks a lot like Ferdinand Porsche:

Re: Latest additions
Looks close Philipp
Certainly close enough for the 1942 Tiger trials
It supposed to be Vyacheslav Mikhailovich Moloto and is a reasonable match
Stalin & Co review
I am trying to get the Breda done, but it is really small, Tiger time might be closer than even I thought!
Regards

LHS is moving to a new premises next week and is having a 30 - 60% off sale at the moment. 60% off this meant I was unable to resist....

I don't blame you Gary, that is a nice looking kit and I'm assuming lots of room for PE?

Re: Latest additions
Our club attended the absolutely amazing Scale Model Challenge at the weekend. First time that we have exhibited there, hopefully not the last but competion for club tables is ruthless
For once I spent the least, only bringing home these two
I think my engineering builds may be lasting a little longer past the end of the year
This came with a conversion set for the command version, etch and the Amorscale mantlet and barrel, all for €50s so I couldn't say no.
I did take photos at SMC but not nearly enough. If I get the chance I may put up an album on Imgur at the weekend.

Re: Latest additions
Spoke to Gary B midweek about the size of my stash and swore I wouldn't buy any more kits until it was reduced a bit. Then ran into Gary at our LHS and this was the result,
I blame two things, Gary's influence and the fact our LHS has moved to a new location so I had to buy a shop warming present!
