Re: Latest additions
Can't work on anything small without my optivisor
Its the best thing I ever got, tools wise for modelling
Just need an attachable light, as the overhead light isn't always able to shine on the small pieces as you are painting them at 4 inches from the lens!

Shawn, nice things there
I really need a new pair of optivisors, years ago my dog chewed up the headband - lenses are still good though, but looks funny and doesn't really feel comfortable to wear

Re: Latest additions
I finally got a light for my optivisor
Back on the straight and narrow, or not?
Its another retirement project to recreate all the 1/72 Airfix builds of my childhood.
See if you remember them, I do!
Airfix
It could be early onset dementia too LOL
I have a 6 lb AT and a Lloyd carrier and will see if the Bren gun carrier is a better fit?
I still need a good price on the Mirror FAT beetle back Mk I for the 25lb gun set
Many of the others are readily available but some have never been made in 1:35.
Its another collecting project with some builds at the end!
And guess what I shall use these for??
Can you get it without "Googling" it?
More soon?

Re: Latest additions
Hi Shawn
It was expensive and if I had a little more electronics skill, I could have probably made one!
I bought a static grass dispenser rather than make one from a tea strainer LOL.
It works really well as the light shines at 4 inches and isn't blocked by your hands when you are trying to sort out PE which is 0.5 mm small, I hope to try painting with it soon too.
it does eat up batteries, but I have loads of high amp rechargeable batteries from when I used to use a camera, like everyone else I use my mobile which has 2 1/2 times more pixels in the camera than my last dedicated one!
I am definitely getting lots of use from it.
HTH's?

Got these, but they are not very good!
They will need some serious fettling to get to something looking like a pilot
Shame Hornet don't do heads with flying helmets?
Always need something like these too

Usually the Master box figures are not to bad. I hate to hear otherwise.

Hmm, Masterbox figures are usually quit large for the scale, so you might get away with a set of 1/32 resin heads from Ultracast??Steve Hutchinson wrote: ↑28 Feb 2020, 21:58 Got these, but they are not very good!

Re: Latest additions
They are older figures Shawn
The newer ones are usually very good.
Thanks Jan, there is a UK supplier too, who will have the heads available soon.
The US and Canadian ones cost more in postage, but I hadn't thought there would be an aviator head available at all!
So, its isn't all bad.

Re: Latest additions
Good to hear that I need to avoid the older Master Box sets... because my experience with newer is that they are stunningly well designed .
All right... I bought something... which has already caused me to order a ton of other stuff... namely something to do 11 barrles of hell more "realistically" .
so...All Guardsmen, FOLLOW ME TO GLORY!...
=>
And given that it offers a whopping eight versions to be built OOTB, it's equally whopping price feels somewhat less preposterous .
Once I'm done with the IV G this will be my shot at the sci-fi GB, because, as Adam put it =>
Best regards

..it would be heresy not to build the guard tank....
