This is the very first "I built all by myself" kit. Wish I had pictures so I could do a comparison after it is rebuilt. Accidentally found this on Evilbay. Had not realized Revell had re-issued it.

I built the Glitter bug many years ago as a review. They had done nothing to improve the molds from back then and had to deal with a large amount of flash.

Tamiya M4A3E8

Post by Mark Aldrich »

Was at Michael's getting a frame designed for a handmade arrow and checked out their hobby section. They had no Testors liquid glue but a few of the sanding sets. I then headed over to Hobby Lobby and they had 2 Testors liquid glues and no sanding sets but did have this for $49.00 so I picked it up. It will eventually become a M51 based on the M4A3 chassis.

Birthday kits turned up by courier today, Takom Polish PL-01 concept vehicle

and Meng's new M4A3 Sherman kit

The last is a very nice looking kit in a big box. Tracks are workable, plastic links with a wire pivot, with a nice wee jig included. On this first issue they provide a turned metal barrel. The suspension is very "Tasca" in its form, but the springs are metal and come in their own padded box (which has ration cartons printed on it so it does double duty).

Looking forward to this one! ;)

Did not realize this had been released and I Love the Gopher. Of course the reviews I have read say that is it over engineered and uses too much PE where sytrene would have worked just fine. Also picked up the MasterClub track, late version because they say that each link is made up of three pieces that you have to assemble 222 times.
