Those are the included Magic Tracks, and a whole lotta glue... :D

I found an interesting article from a guy who advocated airbrushing super-thin acrylic at high pressure, around 35-40 PSI. I thought it was crazy. But gave it a try on a test surface. It works. There are some obvious downsides if you're not very, very careful. But it allowed me to achieve extremely tight control on exactly where and how gradually I added color. This was the key to finally being able to paint tracks while they were still on the model, something I've never been able to do before without also blasting the paint applied to the wheels and underbody.
