I'm fairly certain Raoul built this strictly OOTB back in the day. I can check with my own kit when I get home.

The Reasons I asked was I thought most Jumbos used the late pattern solid wheels and I know that Tasca now makes a set of plastic periscope guards instead of PE. All my Tasca Firefly kits have PE guards,

I just checked, it comes with pressed and spoked wheels as well as reinforced spoked wheels with closed up holes on the same sprue. As far as I know the cast spoked wheels were sturdier than the later pressed wheels and thus preferred on the Jumbo.

Looks like the kit comes only with PE periscope guards. I think you can give them a little more substance if you carefully apply some CA glue to the bars.

Philipp,
Thanks for looking. I bought 3 sets of the plastic ones from Tasca and used them on my oddball Sherman. One has already popped off so I will be attempting to reattach it this afternoon. They are really nice but have no feet on them so very little attachment.
