Post by Philipp Gross »

No kit news yet, so let's have some :D

After bringing out the regular version, Bronco has now announced the Panzerbefehlswagen 35(t):

Scheduled release is next month.

I really hope we get some of the more obscure versions from Romania and Bulgaria too. :)

Nice that more obscure versions are being produced. I think we have enough Tigers and Panthers

Interesting Philipp. Very unusual drive sprocket and idler wheel design on that.

It was a standard feature of the 35(t) - made throwing the track impossible. In fact, after the annexation of Czechoslovakia the Germans made test runs with their new toys and tried very hard to do just that, without success.

Well, it was Czechoslovakia.
May seem an insignificant minor sized central European country but we should remember that is was, for all intents and purposes, the arsenal of one of the Great Powers until KuK ceased to be a thing ;) .

When the Wehrmacht came knocking in 1938 the leaders of the Czech military industry asked for admission into the German forces...because it had been this way with Austria-Hungary before....

Can anyone tell me how both of the new 35(t) (Academy/Revell & bronco/SKP) do compare to the old CMK?

Cheers

Walter

Hi Walter,

the Academy kit is 100% new tooling. I have it, but haven't started yet. The detail looks excellent, but there's no interior. The Bronco kit is most likely even better, with full interior and more refined details where most of it will probably never be seen again. The Revell kit is a rebox of the old CMK kit.
