As a note.....The inner wheel wear plates are not on the wheels. For those Die Hard builders.....Break out the OLFA cutter. Also the Def Model DK35003 R.O.K. M47 Detail Up Set mantlet cover will not work with the Takom turrets without considerable work.

Olivier,
If you are actually thinking of building one, you may want to scrounge some PSP planking now. Only four companies made it and two of them are now out of Business.

Found out yesterday that the manlet cover assembled nicely with only minor gaps. The left front top piece seems to have been pulled wrong. There is no outer reinforcement strap detail on the part. Not sure how I can fix that yet. There is also a noticeable gap between every one of the attachment points. This may be fixable with a little pressure.

The missing reinforcement strap might be fixable with a stripe of lead foil? Are at least the mounting clamps included?

Seems like there is no patent solution for easy to use and realistic canvas covers, except for resin maybe. If the Takom kits turn out to be popular enough the usual suspects might release a few replacement parts.

Philipp,
I will take some snaps this evening so everyone can see what I am talking about. The cover is a 4 part affair. Three pieces to make up the main and the final piece is attached to the barrel. Unless I do an exceptional job of gluing the barrel round (this has NEVER happened in ALL my years of modeling), I am already planning on purchasing the Orange hobby M41 metal barrel replacement. I truly can't believe I only bought one for my Magach 2 kit. This will of course require major surgery to the barrel, and cover that surrounds the barrel. The mounting straps are already attached to the mantlet cover so I don't think foil or thin strip is an option.

Here are two showing the main mantlet cover. Went together nice.

While not great the cicled area is where there is no rib detail

The bottom and sides look great. However the top...not so much
