Blitz Bus
I bought this at the Model Expo last month.
Well......maybe I could.......in fact I did! I know, I know I should finish the Blitz but this is a bus! How cool is that!
There are quite a few ejector pin marks so it was out with the putty. The interior looks bland so I'll add some framework inside and some other bits and pieces. The detail on the wheels and tyres seem a little soft. Luckily I seem to have a set of wheels and tyres left over from another Blitz
I promise I'll get back to the Blitz in a little while.......
Cheers,
Vincent
I was really looking forward to getting this kit when Roden announced it some time ago and when I stumbled upon it on a Vendors stand I couldn't resist. So obviously I couldn't start this until the Opel Blitz in the Group Build is finished could I? Well......maybe I could.......in fact I did! I know, I know I should finish the Blitz but this is a bus! How cool is that!

Re: Blitz Bus
Must resist....must resist. I sort of want this kit. Excited to watch this for sure. Vincent, I saw an ad the other day from MR Models for an upgrade, are you planning to upgrade anything, or just OOTB?

Re: Blitz Bus
Thank Greg, I didn't know there was any aftermarket available for this kit. I'll have to have a look at the MR Models upgrade. Thanks for letting me know.
Resistance is futile.....I presume yours will be a captured one in use by the Soviets?
I was going to do this one OOTB but the thing that struck me when I was going over the sprues was the bland interior. That will need some work. I'm not a fan of vinyl tyres either so they will be replaced too and I just happen to have some Dragon ones left over plus a resin set I got from somewhere. There is an engine supplied in the kit but the bonnet louvers are moulded closed so you won't see anything. I do have PE replacements intended for the Dragon Blitz at the ready, plus of course the leftover Dragon ones from my Group Build, but I don't know if they will fit yet. I'll let you know. I'm also surprised at how big this thing is.
I'm itching to get back to it.
Busses are cool

Vincent

Re: Blitz Bus
Sorry, I'm late to the party
Great choice of subject, I'll eagerly await the results of this
By the way...you can have more than one group build entry

No problem Philipp, glad you could make it I think Roden are on a winner with the Omnibus.Philipp Gross wrote:Sorry, I'm late to the party

I don't think I could finish it by the GB deadline so it becomes an "ordinary" Build.
