Why do most people achive insane build speeds with Soviet armour? First Greg did it, now Raoul too..... and I'm left as the poor sod who has to endure 9 hours at the office away from the bench

Managed to finish the base coat on the BT (with Tamiya Nato green, the right jar the BT sits on), then added some highlights with a lighter shade (left jar). Of course the white stripe needs a few touchups...

I used some vinyl-like masking tape I bought off ebay for a very good price. It works almost perfect, went off without any issues.

Apologies for the lack of progress, it's kind of difficult to get things done when your family keeps having medical emergencies on a weekly basis (of the ultimately harmless yet deeply annoying kind).

For the Model 1937 diorama I had ordered this Miniart ammo crate set:

Here's what the boxes look assembled, with the ammo still dry-fitted for proper painting:

There are decals included. Tiny decals.

More substantial updates hopefully soon.

Those ammo boxes look good Philipp. :) I'm guessing those tiny decals go on the shells? :?

Heyhey, nice shells!

In the meantime I did a bit of oil application and and oil dot washing (and as usual it's more or less invisible on the photograph...)=>

Nice! That would look great in a 3 colour ambush scheme

Another minor update before going back to big things: The result of a few hours of hand surgery on comrade commander:

Nice one Philipp :D .

Also very nice job on the AT-ST (I suppose it's a combined effort :D ). I've always thought that at least the smaller Imperial walkers would do well with some camo, especially on Endor some form of woodland patterns would have been helpful  .

Yeah....let's not mention the Ewoks, shall we?

Concerning other small things: A fuel barrel!

Image

Barrel by Tamiya, base coat by Tamiya, toothpick by the local 1-Euro-Laden ( :P ), scratches and dents with Citadel paints, washing with Vallejo washes (which aren't that good for big stuff in my opinion). The fuel hose is a thin coated wire minus the wire part

The state of things on the BT-7 M35:

Another case of "if I don't see the mould seams they won't see me either" gone wrong :?
