Re: Zvezda Pak 36
Looks like a great little scene Philipp with the exception of the gun shooting at the worms.

Fabulous idea - Love those rails - you'll be getting the rust pigments out I feel

A tiny bit of rust will be in order
And don't worry, the gun barrel will be properly elevated once everything is in its final position
Thanks again everyone!

Re: Zvezda Pak 36
Thankfully it'll be mostly the particular railway rust variety, which sticks to about everything around a train track
Still no explosives used but some paint and fine model train gravel:
The colours are by all means not final. And neither is the crater, where a layer of standard earth will be used. I basecoated the styrofoam with old Revell acrylics (again, these are good for nothing but diorama work) to reduce the risk of small particles coming loose and creating white spots once the rest is finished.

Re: Zvezda Pak 36
I think the general contours of the crater are done now. It's not that obvious but it's about knee deep for a 1/35 figure. I'm still going to add a healthy dose of that medium brown pigments I already used on the rails (just look at this for example) as well as some earth in the center and around the crater walls. I still need to get me a chunk of light brown earth from the fields though
