Zvezda Pak 36
With the Firefly done after barely 6 months I feel the need to go a little smaller....and also finish a shelf queen.
Here's what I've been up to:
The Zvezda Pak 36 is an unexpected little gem. Great details almost everywhere and the crew figures are amazing too. I only replaced the helmets because those from the kit come with full internal liner detail, which I felt would be completely wasted when glued to the heads where nobody would ever see it. The only downside to the gun is the thick shield, which I managed to sand a little thinner on the edges where internal detail would permit. I replaced the gun barrel with one by RB Model because I happened to have one. The kit barrel is nice too but comes in two halves.
I'll be making a small diorama in a late war setting, as suggested by the peculiar choice of crew uniforms. While made obsolete through thicker armour and the Panzerfaust, the Pak 36 was still used in limited numbers until the very end, where it proved useful against assorted light armour.

Philipp - those figures look super as does the gun. Wow - I would have guessed this was all Dragon if you hadn't said.
Looking forward to the paint job

Is the base in progress yet.....long grass to hide in or a snowy base?

I'm planning to do a bombed out railyard. Gravel, bent rails, gravel, broken sleepers/ties and more gravel.
Haven't started yet but I really want to in the next few days.

Great idea and I assume you will need a pole for communications or train traffic.

Re: Zvezda Pak 36
I actually have a set of telegraph poles by RB Model, haven't decided if I'm going to use one of them yet. Apologies for the lack of progress in general, work has taken its toll on me this week.... More hopefully around the weekend before the office madness restarts.
