Re: Komsomoletz T20 tractor and tow load.
Been busy with mein kampf with the T20. First picture is the cab of the tractor in progress. Various levers and brake pedals installed and painted. One of the seats has been laid in for the photo opportunity. It will have padding added to the seat and back cushion before gluing in place.
Seats are beefed up here, weathering of the cab area has occurred and the front fenders have been corrected as a Soviet vehicle, opposed to the clipped version straight out of the box, which depicts a Finnish version.
Over all view of the entire interior. The engine area has additional items added besides what is provided in the box.
So far, from what is pictured, should be considered the easy portion of the build. In reality, I'm much further along, the engine area is enclosed, the rear area is finished, along with the bench seats above the engine area and the front armored cab. When aligning the front cab last night I had a catastrophic implosion of the assembled parts and thus was not able to get a true picture of where I'm at. I will endeavor to reassemble the kit tonight. Note for anybody building this kit out there, care must be taken aligning the armored cab with the glacis plate, it's a weak area in the kit and I still have not figured a way to get them to meet up. I think I will be doing some parts shimming tonight.....ugh!

Ok, back on track with the T-20. I replaced the kit supplied DP MG with a much finer one from a DML T-34 kit. One thing about this kit I like is that you are able to open every vision port, which provides more light to the interior.
I'm currently working on the bogies. Over 10 parts per bogies....a little over the top, I may swap out parts from the toga kit as they appear to be more accurate. More on that topic later.

Slipping in a quick photo I took with my smartphone while running out the door to work. I had time to base coat the parts for this project and started on the painting the rubber on the tires and road wheels. Some more detail painting and then on to the weathering.

Re: Komsomoletz T20 tractor and tow load.
I'l been very remiss in posting updates....apologies. Needless to say that I've wrapped this project up. Overall a fun, but long project. Alot of Soviet guns in tow during WWII had ammo boxes lashed down on the gun trails. I've seen pictures of ML-20s with upto 6-8 boxes tied down. I've also seen one or two attached to the 45mm gun. I attached one ammo box on the gun trail and one on top of the limber. The Soviets used wires to tie down items on there vehicles during the war, I used a thin wire to tie down the box on the gun trails in this project.

You always find the unusual kits. I like the armor plating on the tractor's cab.
