Bronco's Delivery Van

Post by John Everett »

In the interest of always having at least five things always going at once, I've started work on a vehicle to be used in the Blacksmith's Shop scene which some of us may recall from the old MA site.

The van will be placed on the cobblestone path in front of the building.

I'm planning a bright yellow with a bit of rust to juxtapose the dark green of the Sexton. The biggest challenge will be in building the interior of the van for use as a "portable metal worker's shop". I want to add a lot of nice detail to the open interior, but not so much that my effort is wasted on things which the viewer will never see.

It's a Bronco. It's wonderful! :D Like any other Bronco kit, it grows gradually from one tiny, little cell sized part to the next. Eventually you've got a beautiful 1/35 duplicate of the original. I didn't bother attempting to capture each little step. But I can say that everything fits as designed. It's a wonderful little kit.

MO/\OKO HET.

The interior will be set up as a mobile blacksmith shop. I'm planning some oxy-acetylene bottles, metal working tools, perhaps a vice or anvil welded to the bumper.

In general, it would be the kind of working civilian vehicle which we all enjoy in your excellent dioramas.

(I absolutely love your gypsy music truck, by the way. If it was a photo feature on the old Model Armour site I'm sure it would have taken first place that month.)

The van is ready for primer and paint. Mostly held together with sticky tack at this point as I want to paint certain things separate from one another.

There's a surprising amount of space despite the vehicle's small size. I think I might be able to do a quite nice portable workshop.

Also finished the nun and the milk cans even thought I've got no plan for then just now.
