Weired set up for the radiator and fan for the engine . how is it set up , blow into the vehicle for heat in the winter ?

No idea. Cars of this era tried a lot of ideas before final configurations were settled.
My guess is that they wanted the curving, dropping nose at the grill. This was common on large, luxury cars of the day. But big cars have plenty of space behind the droopy grill to stand a radiator box. If they want the ski slope grill on such a short car, the only place for a boxy radiator is against the firewall. This prevents the fan being behind the heat exchanger and requires a forward placement of the fan.

But given history and the way things generally work out, it is also possible that the wine that night was red instead of white and due to this unforeseen change in dinner plans, the chief engineer went home early with headache. :roll:
