This build came about after I saw a picture online of a gun crew relaxing around their 5.0cm Pak. It inspired me to search for the kit and replicate the scene.

I eventually tracked one down and put it together quite quickly. I added a few details to spice up the rather basic Dragon kit.
I should add that this all occured last year and I have been slack in posting anything on here.

Next, I gave the gun a dark gray primer before adding some darker shadows. This was followed by various lighter shades of gray before picking out various highlights on the gun with a nearly white/light gray shade.

Over this base coat I will add a thin dark gray wash to tie it all together when I eventually get back to this build. Perhaps posting the progress pics here will give me the boost I need to get around to it once again.
Thanks Philipp. Yes, I will post progress pics, no worries.
The camouflage the crew used is the reason I wanted to build the Pak and I do want to get as close as I can to the picture. The crew poses are one of the reasons I stopped the build. I'll have to do some surgery to get close enough.
Thanks Bryan. Yes, the kit has tiny parts though it is to be expected.
I believe the photo was taken in 1942 at Stalingrad. I found a second view of the scene when I was researching the project which you might find interesting.

Any figures will require some modification to match the poses of the crew. I've got a few sets that I think will be suitable when I decide to move forward, plus the obligatory Hornet heads of course.
