My cheap Tamiya Panzer 2

Post by Swiftnbold »

The old Tamiya Pzkw 2 which I had a lot of fun building apart from those rubber tracks which I again damaged by mentioning the word 'Heat' within 20m of them!
Boy.....they really do not like anything above 30C. I remodelled the 37mm and MG, filled all the open spaces under the sponsons with plastic sheet, cut the rubber tyres and used a home brew fixer for pastel pigments and the debris.
The decals I know are not placed correctly, the debris is maybe not too scale but I reckon I'm slowly starting to think like a modeller but I must get out of this habit of over weathering. :D

I really like how you have done the dirt debris on the front hull.

What is your home brew fixer recipe?

Thank you Bryan.
I'm experimenting with various dilutions of water and hairspry.
