This is most impressive work Olivier . The completed model must be huge.

Re: 9K33 OSA / SA-8 Gecko Trumpeter 1/35
Thank you Vincent.
The hull measures up to 27 cm long.
Today I had a very bad surprise. I test fitted the missiles supports to the launch module and there are not well aligned at all. They should be parallel to the axis of the module.
I don't understand where I goofed.
The module assembly went well even though it is not advised for those who are a bit stressed.
As I intended to keep mobile as many parts as possible it was quite tricky to get the anticipated result all the more if you follow the instructions.

I finally fixed the issue with the missiles containers. I also replaced the PE headlights guards by home made ones with 0.3 mm styrene rods. The PE parts were too large.
The launch module is not attached yet. Trumpeter has designed a different system to secure the module which makes it impossible to remove. So it will be painted separately.
The painting session beginning is near.

Thank you Bryan.
I've started the painting step. The base color is Princ August German green WWII also referenced as FS34079. The shade is then enlighted with some flesh. The radar antennas are painted with a mix of XF-64 and yellow sand.

I love your attention to detail Olivier, you’ve chosen an interesting vehicle and the info you’ve provided very useful to any future builder.

Thanks for the comments.
I managed to add some light weathering. No rust, the beast is amphibious, just some dust on the lower part of the hull. I also made some streaking with water pencils.
I need to get a new lamp to make better pictures. The former did not appreciate the fall from the table.
