KV-1E Trumpeter
Another month and BK-KV build.
This time its the KV-1E. I'm about 3 days into this build. The tracks are TANKRAFT KV-1/KV-2 Protracks. These have to be the easiest set I have ever built. Tracks and pins are 3D printed. No cleanup needed. No drilling needed. The pins (L/R) press into the resin track and stay put. I had 4 or 5 that needed a small drop of CA to stay in place. I had one track run finished in 50min while watching a movie.

Re: KV-1E Trumpeter
Always a pleasure to see a Trumpeter KV being built!
Any extras planned for this one besides the tracks and the barrel?

Re: KV-1E Trumpeter
I've made good progress this week. The only advantage of being unemployed right now.
redid all the hull welds
I scraped the fenders thin to add some bends. The trumpeter plastic has a habit of cracking so I can't go too extreme.
I sliced off about 80 percent of the bolts and reoriented them since the kit has all the bolt heads in the same direction.
ET Models and Eduard PE
Eureka XXL cable
BitzKrieg stowage boxes + antenna pot
Turnbuckle is brass rod and tube.
Still need to add a few small welds and the intake PE screens.
I'm really digging the look of this KV with bolted on armor.

Nice progress Bryan! Realigning the big bolt heads is something most people probably won't notice, but it really pays off

First you draw a circle, then you draw the rest of the owl.
I feel like I have missed taking photos of a few steps. Need to finish the figure.
