Flail temporarily fitted and rust and mud effect added.....
I concentrated on the rear of the turret as whilst flailing it would have been traversed fully to the rear thus taking the full spray from the mud, it would then be traversed back to the front when finished, showing the cleaner front against the spattered glacis and flail.

Well this is done.
Cam net, tow cable and aerials (nylon fishing line)added, weathering finished, just need a base to set it on

Thank you milan.
At, times i cursed it, at times i questioned my decision but the learning experience has been worth every second.

That´s true, learning experience has been worth every second you had spent by building that model.

Thats some amazing work. The scratch building and the chains are great. Way to small for me to work on.
Well done.

Re: My Airfix Crab epic
Thank you Shawn.
As I said at the beginning, this was intended as a paint mule to practice shading, filtering, weathering etc and then be thrown away if it got too rough so price rather than the scale was really the consideration. I doubt it'll be my preferred scale as it is really too small to fully enjoy the scratch building but it's hugely satisfying so I'll definitely be giving it some more time in the future.
I've just started the infamous Tamiya T-62 in 1/35 again as a practice mule because it was cheap and the modifications required will be more valuable experience for me.
P.s- nobody has spotted the mistake with the drivers periscopes yet....
