I applied the whitewash scheme. First I used the hairspray technique for a chipped white, then I used AK Washable White to add some visual texture.

Very nice.

Did you mask off the green and hand paint the grid pattern?

It really does look good

I used blue tack to mask off the green areas. Hand painted grid.

Wow, thanks! I'm trying some new techniques on the KV-2 winter and hope to apply that knowledge to this one.

The snow is a mixture of marble powder, micro balloons, Woodland Scenic’s Snow and gloss acrylic medium. This was applied with an old brush and blended in with water. The marble powder helps with opacity but tends to make the snow matt. I went over the snow patches with gloss clear acrylic.

I’ve wanted to paint this scheme for years and I’m pretty happy with how it turned out.
