T-34 76 1941
Hey all. It's getting cold enough that I can no longer paint in the garage so the T-35 is on hold. I decided to start another project to put off painting figures.
This is the Dragon 6502 T-34 76 1941. I plan to finish it as one of the 41/42 Moscow Winter with the unique tread winter camo pattern. So far just basic construction as most of the AM was just ordered and could take a while.
Fenders have been thinned and bent a little.
I used the kit tracks and glued as a solid assembly with the wheels. Harder to paint but easier to handle and assemble. The kit tracks had two ejector pin marks on each link that had to be cleaned up but I planned ahead and only cleaned the ones that would be visible.

Nice start! For me this is by far the most elegant version of the T-34. What happened with the engine hatch?

Yeah, I agree. The kit engine hatch does not fit properly, this is problem with all Dragon T-34s. It's easier to replace than correct.Philipp Gross wrote: ↑17 Nov 2020, 00:02 Nice start! For me this is by far the most elegant version of the T-34. What happened with the engine hatch?

I was digging around on a Russian language site. check out the detail work on this build of the same kit.

That is an amazingly OCD level of detail! Talk about rivet counting!

I like what you have done so far Bryan. That other build has an incredible amount of detail. Thanks for sharing the link.

Re: T-34 76 1941
I've been making some progress on the T-34.
So far I've used Alliance Model Works PE for the vents and Bitskrieg for the fuel tanks and lockers.
I have a few other items shipped from TMD but the package has been rerouted more times than I can count.

Excellent work! I like the slightly battered "used" look!
Where did you get the tow cable endpieces?

Thanks!
I made them from scratch. I used the kit plastic part, ground out the eyelet and a narrow channel. The cable is spare froma trumpeter kit and the wrap is fine solder. I only made one and fortunately I had plenty in the spares, it took 5 attempts to get two good ones.
