Thanks Fabrice
Where doe the time/motivation go.
One of the problems with halftracks is it takes twice as long to paint since you have an interior to do as well. The model came with decals for the instrument panel, but I just painted it since it wont be very visible once the build is done.

Nice progress Shawn!
I agree, the extra effort on the interior keeps me from doing more of them...luckily I have a resin 251 tarp for emergencies

Nice Shawn. The extra effort is worth it judging by the pics.

Got to agree about dealing with interiors, I’ve got several full interior kits and am too scared to start them!
Nice build so far, Dragon seems to do a nice kit when they put their minds to it!

Re: Dragon Sd. kfz. 250/8
Thanks gentlemen.
I have too admit I have not had any motivation lately to build or really do anything. I have often found my self just sitting in front of the TV for hours. This pandemic has really been depressing. My wife and I take it very seriously, so we have not done anything in months. We just stay home. Some would think that would give me more time to build but that is not the case. Beside the pandemic things are just out of control in the US, with rioting across the country and the presidential election coming up in November. On a positive note my firearm collection has increased dramatically. So now that I have ran out of money Im going to try to get started on this again.
Just FYI the BF 109 I started in the group build has ended up in the trash bin.
Matt talked about getting bogged down in one of his builds. This happened to me with this build and I believe that was the main reason I lost interest for a while. For some reason dragon completely left out the 2 piece sprue that contained the transmission that sits between the seats. The transmission cover was there but that was it. So using spare parts I came up with this to fill the void.
Wash applied to the interior.
The main gun consisted of several pieces but went together relatively easily.
I will do a little more weathering to the interior then I can get on with the rest of the build.

Transmission scratch build came together nicely Shawn. The gun is nicely detailed straight OOB.

Re: Dragon Sd. kfz. 250/8
Thanks Adam
Lots of progress yesterday, at least for me.
The interior of the 250 has been completed and the rest of the hull has been assembled.
Two figures from Alpine with Hornet heads.
I have sorted out the over all vignette scene. There is going to be a small cabin . Here is the over all concept. I like to use my cutting mats to help lay out the size. I then use painters tape to help visualize the over all size. It may look big in the picture but the base will be no larger than 7" x 7"

Nice setup Shawn!
Good work on the transmission as well, it's beyond me how Dragon could mess that up.
