I'm slowly moving along with the weathering effects. :D I'm using oils to provide variation and tones to the plain slab sides as well as increasing the richness of the rust areas. The Zimmerit also gives an opportunity to lift the colour palette because the small squares allow almost infinite variation. Not that I painted each square of course, but I did make slight changes in many areas. ;)

I should start thinking about a base before I go much further. This is turning out to be a lot of fun. :)

A bit more progress on the Jagdpanther. :) I've given it some dust, using oils, as well as some more subtle shading. Plus I've added the wheels. No tracks as yet because they are the old-style Dragon single link tracks which I find a pain to clean up and get to fit. I'm also struggling to find a suitably sized base.

Ok, I'll get back onto the tracks  and keep searching for a base.
Thanks for following along. :)

Vincent, your JP is a thing of horrid beauty

Bronco has fairly cheap workable early and late Panther tracks. I have a few sets but haven't used them yet, so I can't comment on their quality or ease of assembly, but you might to want to keep them in mind in case the kit tracks are too bothersome.

Thanks, Philipp. Horrid beauty is most apt

I have a set of the Bronco late tracks but I've allocated these to an upcoming Panther project. ;)

I've just about got this wrapped up. I thought I'd post my progress so far though I am working on a couple of figures to finish off the scene.

Great work Vincent. It’s the little effects that make it pop, especially love the rust on the top of the cleaning rod/spare aerial container....extremely realistic. :)
