KTO Rosomak

Post by Olivier Carneau »

Hi all
here are some pictures of my new build. This is the IBG model which will get some upgrade sets from Eureka and Master Model. The drive trai nis a pain to assemble and I decided not to follow the way the instructions have you build thiss tricky part.
The dashboard is not glued yet.

Nice start! I'm probably repeating myself here, but really like the look of these modern IFVs :D

Hi Oliver,

looking forward to your build and see what you do with it, I have this in my stash and have been meaning to get to it but something else always jumps the queue.

Are you going to mesh the drive train and add the checkerboard plate to the side walls of the interior?

David.

David
I guess I don't have pictures enough to tackle the drive train mesh. Concerning the checkerboard plates I will see if the pictures I have are clear enough to add them.

Hi all,
I managed to save some modeling time during the last weeks. So the interior is nearly done. David I was not brave enough to add the antislip inside the troop compartment

The engine will remain unpainted as there is no way to see it when the upper hull is glued. It's a weird choice from IBG.

Nice work so far Olivier.

What has been the overall fit/finish/quality of the kit so far?

The seats do not look comfortable at all but your build looks sweet!

Thank you Mark.

Adam, the kit is really good, the fit is good too. The detail level could be better, some details could be more crispy but I'm happy with the result.
The only flaw comes fro mthe instructions. The sequence of assembly is not logical at all. For instance, IBG ask you to build some sub-assemblies in the first steps and to use them really later on. The engine is also typical of this not logical way of building. So I decided to go my own way otherwise you have some large parts floating in the air waiting for their support to be glued at the next step.

The hull is closed and very few of the interior remains visible. The hatches are not glued for the moment. I'll let them open except for the driver one.
