Slowly but steadily I keep on painting and weathering the both vehicles.

The end is really close now. I dusted the both vehicles with some Flat Earth and Red Brown. Maybe I'll add some streaking.

Will you put them in a scene together?

Looking good Olivier. Aussie dirt/dust has a real orange hue, not as red as Vietnam clay. It’s talcum powder like and gets on every surface....believe me, washing down vehicles after an ex was lots of fun...

Thank you Philipp. I couldn't have them in a scene as the timeframe is different. The ASLAV depicted by Trumpeter was no longer in service when the Bushmaster was introduced. I should have updated it.

Thank you Adam. Could you give some Tamiya refs which could do the trick for the Aussie dust? I haven't finished the weathering yet so I could depict the orange hue you mention.

Not sure about Tamiya refs, but there is a nice article on weathering an Aussie M1A1 in Weathering Magazine’s “Faded” edition. ;)

Thank you Adam.
Life is coming across my modeling activities. At the end of the month I will move for the last time in my military life. So my spare time is dedicated to pack my stuff and modeling is not a priority for the moment. SWMBO would not appreciate me sitting at the workbench

So this pair of Aussie vehicles will have to wait for a couple of weeks before I can resume the weathering.

Fortunately I will be able to browse the forum and comment your work guys.
