Stryker Interim Armored Vehicles
Woody,
I was looking through one of my Stryker reference books with the Trumpeter kit on the bench wondering how to convert the roof to fit the AFV Club hull and came across the 1/35th scale drawings included. Seemed too good an oppurtunity to miss so I compared the Trumpeter hull to the drawings. The overall length is about 6-7mm shorter and the width of the upper surface is about 5mm wider but where the upper and lower hulls meet it is correct which throws off the angle of the sides. One other thing about the Trumpeter kit, I seem to have lost the instructions
Not much done this week, spent two days tidying up my model room so that I can actually find stuff again. Headlights are done, tow bar clamp is also finished, starting to come down to the last details now.
Changed the title of the thread as I have a feeling this won't be the only Stryker I build in the near future

Hi mate,
I don't actually have the M1131, otherwise i would scan you a copy of the instructions.
It's a shame the Trumpeter and AFV Club kits are so different. If they sat right next to each other the difference may be apparent, but then again, with all the bits and pieces that hang off them, it may not be.
I have to get a start on my Strykers too. There is just something about them that looks cool.

Re: M1128 Stryker Mobile Gun System
Hi Woody,
found the instructions online and printed out the relevant sections that I need. Had a look in the M1130 kit to see what I need to do and realised it's the wrong kit It has the complete upper hull moulded, I'd mixed it up with the M1134 kit. As it happens I've also got one of those with nothing yet planned for it so no need to buy another
Worked on the MGS some more, added all the missing loops to the stowage baskets, was a basket of a job Brush guard and mirror on the left side are now also on so it's now a case of working out what I've missed and how much extra detail I want to add.

Been a long break on this but I finally added the last little bits and got some paint and decals on it.
Tools still need painting and then I can seal everything in prior to weathering.
