Does anyone make one of those or a conversion kit for a 38(t)?

...answered my own question, looks like ArmyCast released one in resin in 2008 but it is now out of production :(

Made a bit of a start on construction today. The wheels on the S-Tank tended to get banged up pretty quickly due to the tanks unique design. Tracks needed to be slack to accommodate the alterations in suspension height so it tended to "climb up" the inside of the road wheels resulting in the guide horns knocking off sections of rubber.

I may have overdone it a bit but will tone it down with a bit of sanding. :D

Only one track jig is suppled so building the track 10 links at a time is slow business.

Fit quality is certainly not up to modern standards and some fettling is required to get it all in place but the overall effect is there.

Still some work to do but its a start ;)

Good luck on the track assembly. The roadwheels do not look overdone to me and with a bit of sanding they will look very realistic.

These tracks look so much better than the vinyl ones from the kit! I definitely need to get me a set of those as well for my own Strv 103B.

Well worth it Philipp but get in quick, they are out of production but are on special at HobbyEasy.

Started the build of the hull today. I thought by building a circa 2008 kit with approx 200 parts it would be a quick build, but with all the flash and mold lines I’m spending a lot of time cleaning up each part :(

Can’t have my cake and eat it too I suppose....

Managed to get a bit more done this afternoon.

Despite all the flash and ejector pin marks the fit is very good. Some parts the fit is so tight they actually snap in to place. :!:

The commanders cupola is pretty detailed. 21 pieces vs 5 for the loaders hatch.

Should have this all together by next week! Nice to just slap something together for once :D

Looking good Adam.
Don't forget the flap of the commander sight. Trumpeter omitted it.
I remember the odd plastic of this kit pretty well.

IMHO you should replace the spare track links by some of your AM set.

Thanks Olivier, like you said, the plastics kind of odd. Quite soft, almost buttery when you cut it with a knife.

Love these tanks. Hopefully someone will release a more modern kit at some stage. You are doing an awesome job Adam. Look forward to seeing some more progress.
