Re: Takom M3 Grant
Thanks guys.
Adam - they are a mix of Legend and Aber. I find the Legend ones to be much more realistic - didn't have enough in my spares box so had to use the Aber ones on the stowage box.
Tools fitted along with lead sheet for straps with PE buckles. Also added some chains for the fuel flap pins....

Spares box - either Legend or ET Model.
Following advice, I managed to remove the .30 cal barrels without any damage, re-drill the holes, and recess them futher back....
Added some stowage to the rear....
.30 cal tripod mounted on alternative bracket....

Re: Takom M3 Grant
Primer time. I usually use the grey Tamiya primer - thought I'd give white a go this time...
Not only does primer give a good base for the main colours - especially when you use PE, it can also show up any imperfections. Like this...
Fortunately an easy fix with a little filler.
Had to touch up a couple of areas - especially where the panels join, but otherwise happy with the result. Next step will be the camo colours.

Re: Takom M3 Grant
Looking good Gary. Both Woody and I have had some issues with the Tamiya white primer.

For some reason some AK and Mig paints don't "stick" and you end up with tide marks. This doesn't seem to affect the grey primer which has a more "matt" sheen to it. Suspect you will be using your usual Tamiya paints however?

Re: Takom M3 Grant
Thanks for the warning Adam. I am using Tamiya paints, but good to know for future reference.
Canvas cover 'snaps' added....
Photos hopefully tomorrow, but managed to get the camo colours on tonight along with decals and a filter (productive evening!!!).

Thanks Chris.
Camo colours are now on followed by a filter and then a pin wash. A bit garish at this stage, but the OPR will help tone things down and blend everything together....
