Woohoo! I got stuff done!

"Thankfully" the photo on page 1 is the only known to exist, so most of the camo scheme is speculative. The base coat is Tamiya olive drab, the areas presumably overpainted by the Germans are dark green and the camo is highly diluted dark yellow.

Now I have to cut some stencils for the oversize Balkenkreuze..... :?

Looking Good. For the oversize, if you have a LHS you might want to check out some other decal sheets. Always a possibility.

Sorry, no LHS anywhere around here.... Regrettably I no longer have all the surplus decals from the countless aircraft I built as a kid, I'm sure some of those would have been perfect.

I'll try the stencil route, should be a learning experience if nothing else

That stinks not having an LHS. Even though we have 6 within driving distance none of them sell aftermarket decals. Graph paper can be your friend for this one.

There are also some really nice masking stencil cutters out there no, Voyager has a few and AK is just about to release one. I have the Voyager "straight" one, allows you to lay a piece of masking tape on the guide and then there are multiple guides for your knife, so no rulers and mis-cuts!

Frankfurt has become a black hole as far as the modelling industry is concerned. There is exactly ONE shop left in the entire city and surrounding area that has a tiny selection of Revell and Tamiya kits, with most space dedicated to household goods and standard toys. The last traditional LHS closed in April after having been around for a few short years.

Considering the size of your stash Philipp, you could be the biggest stockist of model kits in Frankfurt ! :P

Back when I was stationed in Bad Kissingen there was a really nice toy store there. Upstairs was all models, railroad, RC and such. The owner was so cool. He always waited until I had come in on Saturday before ruining the German kits and decals for me. Schweinfurt had a toy store also but not as big. Considering how much bigger Schweinfurt was, I always found that odd. Maybe there were more there and I just never found them.
