Panzer II Ausf. A, France 1940
Two days ago I looked at the contents of my new Tamiya Panzer II...and somehow this happened
Everything you see here only took me two evenings of work. I replaced the KWK 30 and MG 34 barrels with turned ones by RB Model, added a 2 Metre antenna (also by RB Models) and added a different commander's figure from my huge stockpile of figure sets. This one is from Dragon #6014, which isn't that bad for its age, except for the horrible colour of the plastic. Nonetheless I replaced the head by one from Legend Productions. I also added some lead wires for the headset and microphones, and that's all, basically. I'll paint it sometime in the next few days, getting the GB entries finished before July has priority
Thanks for looking
Philipp
PS: To those concerned of my mental health, I've gotten confirmation that a new contract is indeed in preparation....whew...

Nice clean quick build Philipp. That's what happens when you open a Tamiya box for a look.

Re: Panzer II Ausf. A, France 1940
I thought we were having another 70's speed build
Then Raoul had changed his Pz III A blog title
Tamiya, "shake and bake" got to love those kits
You REALLY need a new contract Philipp
Nice figure, I think I have some legend heads on the desk somewhere
They really are ugly, which makes them so realistic, not like the scale 75 square jawed, poster boys
Paint too
You are a modeling machine

Nice quick build Philipp, the work bench must be getting pretty crowded at the moment

Re: Panzer II Ausf. A, France 1940
Thanks everyone
Yep, it's getting crowded, high time I finish (at least) that Marder
The Legend heads certainly don't compare to Hornet or Alpine but they still have better details than most plastic heads...especially when 15 year old figure sets are concerned. And I really didn't want to mutilate one of the better ones to fit the headphones
Time to write new applications now, then maybe some painting later...

Only two evenings. This would have taken me two months.

I dare you to prove otherwise
Seriously though, this thing is incredibly simple to build...and rather small too.

Re: Panzer II Ausf. A, France 1940
I guess we could almost have Adam's 1 week speed build with a tamiya Pz II
Paint and weathering might take longer
Why the heck not
A palette cleanser between GB's

Light Tank GB from June 1st to July 31st?
Any light tank and related vehicles, any scale, any era, any nation.
