I toned down the hideous bright blue with some less hideous sky blue.

I'd suggest some flame decals. Definitely flame decals.

Nyet! But I might shrink some Aeroflot logos to fit on the hood of the truck.

The crane structure is finished but still needs the pulley systems to be added.
Getting a start on the figures as well.

Well done with the scratch building John. This will be one impressive diorama when it is done. I guess you wont be taking this one anywhere on a plane.
