After MA went down - I found it hard to continue with this build. However Shawn has shamed me into dropping the boats for a while to resume.

The power of a Dual Blog

Fantastic work on that Tent Shawn - I did a similar thing a while back and mine was pants compared to yours. Respect Brother 8-)

The tarp has needed a lot of work to fit and still might not :?

The sprayed brown is understated

I've gone for a smaller base.

As ever, the figures have taken a while to prepare. And I cannot resist a comment at this set from which the Officer is taken.

Image

It's the worst set of Dragon figures that I've come across - period. Despite being only recently released it appears to hark back to a standard from over a decade ago. Regretfully best avoided dear readers

However - This set is the complete opposite and is just superb :D

C'est la vie.

Here's progress......

My future builds are going to have less figures

Cracking work from both of you and at the sort of high level those of us who know you have come to expect 8-)

I will take the blame if that gets you motivated again. Nice update Rob and the figures look great.

I'm with you about the number of figures in future builds. That is why I stuck with three even thought the pressure was there to build more. Now I have to get started on the ground work., Which will take forever. Plus the GB is starting so that will take all my time.

So basically there is no rush.

Really good to see this dual build moving again. ;)

I'd forgotten how good those canvas side panels looked Rob, and thanks for pointing out the issues with those figures. Now I know to leave them alone. :)

Cheers,
Vincent

2 really nice halftracks you´ve build there! Looking forward to see the finished models :D The Bronco halftracks are very well detailled., I think I must get one of them too

The figures are awesome Shawn!! The faces are very very well done! I´ve got the DVD too, it´s really a good reference for painting figures!
I´m looking forward to see your figures painted Rob!
Best regards,
Jens

Thanks Jens and Vincent.

Now using my nice new Static Grass applicator which is awsome I might add :D , I added the first layer of static grass. I used several different colors and sizes from 2mm to 12 mm and mixed them all together applying them to the base.

New static Grass applicator and other goodies.

The base with first round of static grass. :D

Finally some shrubs for the base.

Gary- It works great, I can not believe I have not picked one up before but the price always turned me off. $145.00

After accidently touching my hand with my home made one and about knocking myself on my a** 8-) It was long over due. :D

Greg- the 12mm came from Scenic Express.

I vaguely remembered somebody made a static machine in model armor . Was that the same one that you were saying in the posted . I though I had asked that question , do you think it would knock you onto you backsides . And I remember Vinnie saying he would hold the creator of that device at fault if any member got killed or incapacitated .
