Is this OK?

Post by Steve Hutchinson »

Just thought I'd ask if there is anything I've missed?

Its a 1994 Italeri Stug III B with a ready poor Eduard PE set

There's an RB barrel, XXL tow cables and a turned brass aerial.

Have I missed anything?

I can get back to the Pz IA Flak 38 and the X-wing fighter as they are both in the paint shop and the Stug has been my excuse for not getting my brushes out!

Thanks for your input

Steve H

Raoul, your photos didn't come out in the PM

Really nice work Steve! The missing side panel is a nice touch! :D

Are these plans from the History Facts books? If yes, then you have all you need

Morning Philipp

From the Stug bible Muller & Zimmerman, ( when is the Pz IV bible coming out?)
and Achtung Panzer V, The Stug III & IV.

Its going to be for a diorama Similar to one I saw on the Mini Art web site, that's why one side is very different to the other.

Back to the GB builds as both are waiting patiently for paint!

The Pz I Flak Panzer internals to wash, chip and block colour the chair gear box and other big bits

and Po's fighter to paint under the magnifying glass!

More soon?

Thanks again

Thanks chaps

Appreciate the input, its washed and ready for primer but with freezing fog and -1 C here at the moment, it will be awhile!

Off to try and paint the micro X-wing fighter for Po Dameron

Thanks Raoul

Still waiting for the weather to change for the better!

As the Stug and Pz I Flak are both Panzer grey, I'll try some extreme modulation with them, as an experiment

Storm Dennis has just passed over with another stormy weekend predicted and its only Monday!

I have been beavering away at the Pz I Flak and have put the first few layers of orange on the micro X-wing too.

Photos soon.

Regards

I like the progress on this. The missing armor panels is a really nice touch.

I'm not sure if the tow cable extended from front to rear points though. Maybe coil them to match the drawings on the rear deck to find out length.

Thanks Bryan

I have been advised the cables could be too long too?

I'd need to double check that, there are some reference photos with tanks/Stugs going into action with lights off and stowed and tow cables laid out for potential recovery too.

I'll look at all this once I can get painting, Its still too cold here 3 C and the 3rd storm in 3 weeks due in this weekend.

Everywhere is saturated so the flood warnings are widespread, over 300 warnings from the Met office currently.

I am just about finished on the body of the Pz I Flak, just getting all the PE glued on, then on to the Flak 30.

I'll post some references for what I decide on doing on the Stug once I have done some more research.

There is still a twist in the tail to come?

More soon?
