The HS technique has a lot of variables so can be very tricky. When it works, it works great. When it doesn't it's a pain the ass.
Nice progress. This and another NA build have gotten me interested in this theater for model subjects.

Evening one and all
Hi Bryan
DAK are really cool to build and I am sure the weathering will get there even if the Hair spray chipping is a little off this time
A little update
Tracks on and different lighting, again
Time to think about the 14-18 GB inbetween washes and weathering
More soon?
Regards
Steve H

Looks splendid Steve!
I especially like how the pattern of the track guards is ever so slightly showing through at some points!
One minor, probably already corrected, touch would be to paint the visible end of the co-axial MG-34 blued steel - unless you've got references that show it painted over of course - I know these things where sometimes done both in the desert and in winter on the Eastern Front and I have a generally severely lacking base of knowledge and references for the Afrika campaign, I'm too much of an "Eastern Front geek" .
Best regards

Thanks Raoul
Absolutely right regarding the Mg 34,
I still need to remove the blue tac over all the armoured glass in the turret and do all the accessories.
I am trying to get my 14-18 GB off the ground, but have hit a very big snag already
I have and idea but if it doesn't work, I shall have to launch a "think tank" on the interweb for a solution
More soon?

Thanks Vincent
A little update, as I shall park for awhile so i can get onto the GB's
The light isn't good so it might not seem like there has been much progress but several layers of washes,
the accessries base coated and some pigments to even out the finish.
I need to source "stuff" which I have somewhere in the attic.
I have "remembered" I have plenty of wheels as I have the bases of 2 Imperial Stug A's which I kit bashed
One went onto a MiniArt Pz III B for a Stug "0" and the other was put on a Dragon Pz III G for and alternative Stug A, Alkett production, if I remember!
Having seem the photos, they are pants, it does look better in the flesh.
I'll have to redo them in better light!
Found the Stugs!

Alternative A
Back to getting the GB's back on track
