Another great pic Philipp, thanks again Look at how dirty that Spitfire is and notice how those guys are just painting over the top of all of that. There would definitely be mumbling about that finish.

Thanks Bryan, that might be a good option. I was concentrating on the pattern and hadn't considered my method of applying it yet but hand painting could well be the way to go.

I was full of confidence when I started masking the camouflage, after all, I was using the kit's painting instructions as a guide. Unfortunately, the further I went the more confused I became. The main failing is a lack of a plan view which would show where all the colours and angles join each other...
