Thanks for the history lesson Bryan That's some cool stuff, but I guess it had some heavy competition from Gundam and the like when it came out.

How about painting it in the garish colours from the catalogue, but heavily weathered? Would make a for a nice contrast

Now that came out nicely The drums look perfectly fine, especially considering the corrosive contents and how they were usually handled. How about some figures pumping fuel into jerry cans? I think there are some suitable sets around

As usual I've never heard of the series or anything else you mentioned, but I like the design. Very 70s-80s....all it needs are some VHS image distortions

For the dust I first applied a thin pigment "base coat" and then added the fine sprinkles with oil paint.
