Steve, I would not classify the bike as an easy build. All of the plastic goes together fine without issues, but, the PE pieces, that are integral, structural pieces are (at least for me) a... "challenge".

Re: Latest additions
Steve, I'll let you know more as I get further into it. The chapters on layout and composition are pretty much the same as others I've seen in diorama books: not as good as what Shep wrote decades ago. No surprise there though and it is the techniques that I bought it for anyway, so, we'll see. Matt

Re: Latest additions
I've got some reading to do: (1000+ pages of modelling goodness) http://i1272.photobucket.com/albums/y384/mattparvis/New%20stuff/DSCN5176_zpsqfh0coqf.jpg Matt PS. Please don't ban me for the wingy thing book. I'm exclusively building armour right now. (Subject to change when those Spitfire decals ar...

Re: Tamiya 1/48 Panzer 38(t)
I'm sure you have a little scene planned for it to. Weirdly, for me, I don't. I'll probably put it on a simple base, but I don't plan to have any figures or anything else around. Made some progress. I got the tracks together and then moved on to the upper hull and connecting the upper and lower. Th...

Re: Mama Can I
For anyone looking for blue foam, here is a source I found on ebay. DioDepot I haven't ordered from them or gotten foam from them. I think blue foam is the same as what I can get here in DIY stores. The biggest difference being the thinner sheets blue foam is available in which might ultimately get ...

Tamiya 1/48 Panzer 38(t)
Here is my project for this GB. It's small and Tamiya, so, maybe I'll actually finish in the time allowed? Stranger things have happened. :-) Box art: http://i1272.photobucket.com/albums/y384/mattparvis/1-48%20Panzer%2038t/DSCN5169_zpswjel7t1z.jpg Hull: http://i1272.photobucket.com/albums/y384/mattp...

Re: Latest additions
Never mind. Just took a look at the figure section Shawn and you are right, pretty useless. Then again, I've never seen or read a better description of what needs to be done than Shep Paine's descriptions in How to Build Dioramas or his figure painting book.

Re: Latest additions
Shawn, got my copy today. I have only had time for a quick look through as well. The figure section is pretty sparse, but, there was some stuff in there about using an airbrush that I am looking forward to being able to read. I doubt it'll replace the traditional methods, but, who knows?

Rob, glad they were a hit. They make a really nice pre-dinner drink, especially in the summertime since they are nice and light.
