Re: Happy Birthday Steve!

Happy belated birthday Steve! 50 heads to paint? That is a lot of practice. I've been using the flesh colors from Vallejo's Panzer Aces line for a while and am generally happy with the results. I did just pick up AK Interactive's flesh colours set though and am looking forward to giving them a go. M...

Re: Latest additions

Raoul, you should take a look at Spain, Gran Reserva Riojas can be had for next to nothing compared to equivalent bottles from places like Bordeaux or Napa. Not really directly modelling related, but, cool to me so I thought I'd share it here. Picked up a couple of weeks ago: https://i.postimg.cc/Dy...

Re: 48th scale diorama project

Thanks for looking in all. Shawn, they're smaller, so easier...? :? Plus, snow smocks are white, and white is sooo easy to paint. Erm, wait, that's not right at all. Been moving forward with this, pretty much all on the building/getting ready for paint side. The I-16 is pretty much built. Here...

Re: Latest additions

Raoul, the book looks great and the addition of a recipe for a French 75 makes it epic. If you've not had one, give it a try, they are awesome. One piece of advice I'd give on making them, adjust the amount of simple syrup based on how much of a sweet tooth you have.

Re: COVID-19 in your country?

Many things are shut down here. It varies by state though. In Maryland schools are closed and yesterday the governor closed restaurants. I work for a local government and so far we are still working, although folks who can telework, not me, are supposed to do so. Toilet paper and cleaning products a...

It would indeed. The Star Destroyer that comes in the same kit is a great size for a tree as well.

48th scale diorama project

I mentioned I had this project underway elsewhere so I figured I should share what I have gotten done so far. First off, the cast of characters: https://i.postimg.cc/50PQCgJm/NZ6-1225.jpg This figure, from Gaso.line, was okay, but, I didn't like the way his legs were sculpted, so I went at them with...
