Re: Hobby Boss White Scout Car

To look at it now, one would never know you had a problem with it. This is very, very well done.

Re: GAZ Crane Truck (Aeroflot scheme)

I'd suggest some flame decals. Definitely flame decals. Philipp Nyet! But I might shrink some Aeroflot logos to fit on the hood of the truck. The crane structure is finished but still needs the pulley systems to be added. Getting a start on the figures as well. https://s5.postimg.org/br9myrifr/8233...

Re: GAZ Crane Truck (Aeroflot scheme)

Thanks, everybody. I toned down the hideous bright blue with some less hideous sky blue. https://s5.postimg.org/ywmst0h7b/IMG_20161124_202724685.jpg https://s5.postimg.org/5vigjlwrb/IMG_20161124_202736232.jpg https://s5.postimg.org/prefz5dsn/IMG_20161124_202815170.jpg I need to get working on some f...

Re: GAZ Crane Truck (Aeroflot scheme)

Do we see a base coming together there? Shawn Yes. The pink circle thing will be a concrete helipad. Thanks, everybody, for the support and encouragement during the build. The helicopter is getting near the "tiny bits" stage of detail adding. The truck on the other hand is just getting the first of...

Re: GAZ Crane Truck (Aeroflot scheme)

This thread is now four pages in length and I still haven't finished the truck for which the thread was created. Graphics printed to decal paper. https://s5.postimg.org/oh9n0ggwn/IMG_20161116_221814283.jpg https://s5.postimg.org/j9weowcrb/IMG_20161117_200805124.jpg Actually turned out pretty well. h...

Re: GAZ Crane Truck (Aeroflot scheme)

Is there no limit to your talents ;) I take it, the strip is masked and not a decal? It is a classic example that pre shading does pay off :D Steve H 1. I can not ride a unicycle while juggling knives. Also, I will never know how to load the dishwasher to meet my wife's approval. So I avoid that ta...

Re: GAZ Crane Truck (Aeroflot scheme)

Thanks, everybody.

Getting the color done in a big way. But there's still all the landing gear and extra bits to paint and add.

I'll get these rough spots fixed presently.

You may have a lot going on just now. But check in when you can.

All the best to those down your way.

Re: GAZ Crane Truck (Aeroflot scheme)

What ratios do you use for Mr Surfacer and the Thinner? Cheers, Vincent Thanks, Vincent. I'm not sure yet. My initial goofing around shows that 50/50 is a good starting point. Thicker than that and it becomes difficult to spray. By the way. Don't clean the airbrush with the Mr. Leveling Thinner. It...
