Re: Sherman Based Vehicles
Assembling figures is the easy part...painting them is something different altogether  Speaking of which...I happened to have a US tank crew by Dragon which I put to use here: http://i573.photobucket.com/albums/ss177/pille85/M4A3E8%20Firefly/026_zpsaa19a87e.jpg The driver got an Alpine head bec...

I have no idea why but since my tank would still be very new I think it is better I stick with regulations :lo...

Re: Sherman Based Vehicles
Thank you gentlemen :D Another daunting step behind me: http://i573.photobucket.com/albums/ss177/pille85/M4A3E8%20Firefly/025_zps5d2eba21.jpg No, not the tow cable :P  While it's certainly very kind by Dragon to use etched fenders, these don't come with any aid concerning the correct placement ...

Re: Interesting Photo Thread
I somewhat suspect this is in Australia itself - if this is really standard gauge. I have no idea how far the wheels on a Jeep are usually spaced apart, so I don't have that as a reference. The only other country in the PTO to use standard gauge is China, but I don't know if Australian troops ever g...

Re: Germany: Memories of a Nation
Thanks for pointing it out Rob. :) I had heard of the exhibition, but the BBC programme is new to me. I've listened to the episode on Bismarck now and it's definitely extremely well made. Christopher Clarke who also gets to say a few words is probably the ultimate English-language resource on German...

In its final stage you start to build things like this  http://i573.photobucket.com/albums/ss177/pille85/Modeling%20Stuff/StugIII104thInfDiv171219442_zps5c7f662f.jpg Yep, that's one of my long term project ideas...as soon as Raoul finds his Waffle Zimmerit stamp which I desperately need for it ...
