Re: X-47B
Right, on to the build! I'm starting at step 4.1, build of the intake and jet system. I'm doing this first as it is easier to paint the intake and exhaust before fixing the halves together and while the various paint layers are drying I can work on other bits. http://newedenlibrary.net/plasticarmour...
X-47B
New site, new blog! Instead of trying to finish something I already have half built, I have decided on a fresh start with a new model. And to break tradition, it is going to be a wingy thing -- Freedom Model Kits' 1/48 scale X-47B UCAS. http://newedenlibrary.net/plasticarmour/blogs/x-47b/x-47b-001.j...

Re: Group Build Suggestion
Thanks for the feedback on the feedback! I like the idea of sub forums for each build. Under the main Group Build forum you could have a Group Build Discussions sub-forum for general discussions on group builds, such as ideas for next ones, current group build schedule, etc. and then additional sub-...

Group Build Suggestion
Many congratulations to Gary and Steve on getting the site up, running and busy! I have a couple of suggestions / questions around the Group Build section... 1. Can we have a sticky post detailing the active and future builds? It is all pretty simple at the moment as we only have two going and they ...

Re: Latest additions
Yeah, it would look good on something like that! Some of the guys in the club have used them and they really help set off a model. Now... just have to build the thing!Justin Wooding wrote:It might look good on a ready made carrier deck. Skunkworks do some nice looking ones, have a look on Luckymodel...

Re: Latest additions
With the wings down it it a touch under 40cm, but with the wings folded (see here) it is just under 20cm. The fuselage length is 24cm. I plan on building it with wings up, flaps down and bomb bay doors open.Justin Wooding wrote:Hey Ian, that UAV looks interesting! What is the wingspan of the 1/48 kit?

Picked up at the Farnborough show on Saturday: http://www.newedenlibrary.net/plasticarmour/misc/purchase-20140920-1.jpg I've been really disciplined this year and only bough 5 (!) models so far, however once I knew this was available I *had* to have it, despite it being a wingy thing! I'm going to s...

Re: Hello from Reading, UK!
Thanks for the welcome guys - lots of very familiar names!
Picked up something different at the Farnborough show at the weekend (latest acquisitions post coming shortly) and looking forward to building it -- also hoping it will get me back into the groove

Hello from Reading, UK!
So this is where you have all been hiding! Now that I have found your secret lair I have a couple of confessions… 1) I don’t do facebook – you may have noticed this from my almost complete absence there 2) I haven’t done any modelling in about 6 months - stuff just seems to get in the way 3) I’m sti...
