Re: F-104G Starfighter
Thanks guys. Guess it just hasn't turned out the way I imagined it. I like how it looks! Very nice result :) I ve been tinking about building and painting a A-10, but have not built any airplane since I was a child :D Me either :) Have to admit, I've enjoyed the change of subject although 1/72 decal...

Re: Canadian F/A-18a
Hi Chris.
Plan is to mount a tube in via one of the exhaust nozzles and fix it to the base.
Fingers crossed I can get it to hold

Re: Canadian F/A-18a
Thanks Adam. Funny that when you've got a fun build, nothing is too much effort ;) Update time. Matte coat has been applied and I've attached the weapons and tail hook. http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/aa131/marevic1/FA-18a%20Hornet/new%2014.jpg http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/aa131/marevic1/FA...

Re: Canadian F/A-18a
Thanks guys. Nice work on the drop tanks, did you get the weathered effect just with pre-shading? Pretty much trial and error. Pre-shading, darker coat, salt, lighter coat followed by oil dot weathering. Found it was a little too strong an effect so misted a light coat over the top till I got the re...

Canadian F/A-18a - COMPLETED
With my F-104G giving me grief at the moment, I decided to make use of the time I have available at the moment to push on. Here is Academys 1/72 F/A-18a built OOB. http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/aa131/marevic1/FA-18a%20Hornet/box.jpg Was originally planning to go with the Aussie Hornet, but misr...

Re: F-104G Starfighter
Thanks guys. Hit a bit of a snag with the weathering. Tried the oil dot technique on top of a matte coat and found the effect too dusty. Didn't like it one bit. The more I tried to fix it the worse it got so in the end gave it a good wipe with a rag dampened with mineral spirits. This seemed to get ...
