The Airfix 250's are noticeably larger than the Dragon and Tamiya kits, from my parts box comparison.

Re: For when normal Shermans just don't cut it any more
Great pix, must have been so much surplus war items back in the day.... I remember my Dad telling me that he had a billy cart made from an RAAF Mustang drop tank! He was the envy of all the kids in town.

Panzer IV B
I built this Panzer IV B in 1992, its a Tamiya kit, modified by myself with an internal mantlet and straight hull. I really enjoyed this build. Figures are standard Tamiya. http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff175/hursty_old/Military%20Models/DSCN6137.jpg http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff175/hur...

Panzer IV E with applique armour
Heres one of my builds that I completed back in 1992. From memory I built it as a IV E with Applique armour 11th Panzer division in the Balkans. The build is a mix of Tamiya and Italeri. http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff175/hursty_old/Military%20Models/870bf0e5-ef9f-4d91-b802-6ce6c367ba49.jpg ht...
